Knowledge on ICT is one of the key strategies of the project. A resource centre equipped with laptops, internet connection, scanner, photocopy machine has been established to create opportunities for the adolescents to be in touched with ICT. A basic training on computer operation has been provided to all the 100 participating adolescents in five different batches. A 3 day training session was organized in Manpura, Bhola as part of the project Children on the Frontline run by Coast Trust and funded by UNICEF. On the first day, there was an Inception meeting where members of local government, forest department, school teachers, health sector and various other stakeholders attended the event. COAST and UNICEF staff introduced the project, objectives and what activities will take place over the next 6 months. The project implementation has been started with an Inception Meeting. The meeting was held on 13th December 2016 at the upazila conference room. Representatives from various govt. sectors, UP chairmen, local political leaders and elite peoples participated in the meeting. Md.
